Helloooo! Just wanted to give you a few updates on what’s been happening here in my musical world.
Since the release of Acquiescence back in April, I’ve slowed down on my studio/recording work. Towards the end of that production, I definitely started to feel the burnout set in. I tried jumping straight away into another album I had on deck, but it just wasn’t working.
Honestly, the last thing I wanted to do was sit in front of a computer screen for another summer, but every so often I would make some progress on this new album....
The Darkest Of Summers
A new album you ask? Yes...well an “EP” I guess, by today’s standards. Clocking in at close to a mere 30 minutes, this album will surely be a bit more easier to digestible than most of my previous offerings and is entitled The Darkest Of Summers.
Lyrically, TDOS explores the subject of death. Specifically the loss of several loved ones that I’ve personally have had to say goodbye to in the last few years.
Musically, if you’d throw in a dollop of electronica, synthwave and soundscape ambience with prog metal sprinkles and acoustic guitarness, you’ll get the sound of TDOS.
Please enjoy the teaser below to get a taste of what this next album will be like.
