![]() Alright!! After mulling over a few names, I've decided my new album will be entitled "Acquiescence" Set for release this summer, (which is looking like mid to late July at this point), this album will contain 14 new tracks, written back in February. With the exception of the instrumental and one of the bonus tracks that were written back in 2012 during Superstorm Sandy. The styles are ranging from hard rock to bluegrass, acoustic ballads to face-crushing progressive metal blah blah blah. As I mentioned in my Blog post from March 2017... ![]() I let the music steer the ship with no judgement on the output of genre's. I get bored pretty quickly and couldn't imagine an album full of just one style nor do I ever write in one style exclusively...that's dumb. If you're familiar with anything I've done in the past, this collection is honestly no different, just a more matured representation of what I've been thinking about with a honed sense of studio production values. Also, rather than turn to other singers, I've decided to do all the vocals myself. If there's any aspect about this album that I'm apprehensive about, it's that. I've sang on many of my albums thus far, but never in the "lead vocal" capacity. The reasoning behind this decision is that the songs are near and dear to my heart and rather than have to explain to someone the lyrical content and hope they deliver the performance I'd want, imma just do it myself. Plus, this is a "solo album" and not a rock opera or concept album, so there's no need for different singers since there are no characters, nerdy puppets or dystopian dictators to portray. Acquiescence Tracklisting:
1 - Faded 2 - 6:33 To Babylon 3 - (Sounds To Me Like You're) Still Sleeping 4 - Something Beautiful 5 - Tripping The Lie Fantastic 6 - When Silence Speaks Louder Than You 7 - Precious Pieces 8 - Swimming In Sand (instrumental) 9 - Depending On A Prayer 10 - I Wasn't Even Supposed To Be Here 11 - No Way Out 12 - Falling Forward 13 - In These Waiting Arms 14 - I'll See You In The Morning The album will be produced by yours truly and mastered by Michael Zucker. With vocal production and engineering by Mathew Pike as well as modest selection of soloists and backing vocalists. Acquiescence will be released exclusively on Bandcamp which will contain 3 bonus tracks, with an iTunes and other digital releases to follow shortly thereafter. In final, please check out the first teaser trailer below and be sure to sign up to the mailing list to get exclusive videos and content from the studio! I can't wait for everyone to hear this new collection of material that before February, never existed. It feels good to work on material that's this fresh and new in my wheelhouse. Stay tuned G
