Released on October 30th, 2012: Conversation Pieces is a coming-of-age concept album that follows a socially isolated teenager through the trials and tribulations of high school. His struggles with love, loss, family, bullying, and adolescence unfold through songs, introspective ballads, spoken voices, and ambient soundscapes.

Partly autobiographical, the story draws on elements of my own life, weaving personal experiences and life’s ups and downs into a broader narrative that explores divorce, alcoholism, bullying, love, hate, and the complexities of life and death. With over an hour of music, the album uses a diverse cast of voices and instrumental performances to bring its characters and story to life.

An ambitious project that was shelved indefinitely before eventually reaching completion, Conversation Pieces combines songwriting and audio storytelling to capture the confusion, intensity, and fleeting moments of growing up.
