Playing Piano Is Easy - Part 2

Here's another random piano improvisation because remember folks, PLAYING PIANO IS EASY!!. Unfortunately these days, I don't have the energy or time to play as much as I'd like. It's a double edge sword though. The longer I stay away from the instrument, the more music will build up in my brain; so when I do sit down, the music just flows and I come up with a bunch of new ideas....

...but knowing that I won't ever have time to fully bring all these new ideas to fruition, I purposely won't play for extended periods of time. This makes me sad. I already have hundreds of voice memos on my iPhone that I know I'll never get to...and this also makes me sad.

Anyway, sorry about the pity party.

Sorry you haven't seen a new upload in awhile. I recently changed locations for my day job which requires a longer commute, so my allotted time for "music" has been dramatically reduced.

The extra time I have had, has been spent working on backend, mundand stuff that I shan't bore you with. Anyway, sorry for the rant as I'm sure you have problems of your own, so here's a quick piano improv for you to enjoy...

... and also for me to remind myself that playing piano is still easy.

Barone Basement Band

This is the 1st part of an in-studio improv jam from a few months ago with my cousin, Ryan Gaines.

We've played together since our teenage years and have been in several bands together, so it's easy for us to not only improvise together but we have a certain "Musical Telepathy" that only happens when you play with someone for a long time.

(Note: Ryan is wearing my flannel that I left in his car like 3 years ago...he hasn't given it back yet. He wears it all the time too!)

My 4AM Morning Routine

I've been waking up at around 4AM for the past 10 years now.

It's the perfect time to work on my music stuffs without the noise and distractions of the world interrupting me.

Moreso, it's the ONLY time I can get stuff done before my day as a "responsible adult" begins, so waking up at this ungodly hour is unfortunately necessary.In my latest video you'll get to see what a typical morning looks like for me.

Best described as a punk rock radio show, “Faces” is a punk rock opera telling the terrible tale of an evil scientist’s botched experiment and how our band saved the city from this twisted abomination.

Who is Killer Pizza you ask? Killer Pizza was the first band I was in when I was a wee lad. Founded with my childhood friends Pike Matthews and Aaron Pasisz.

These were not only the first songs we created together but the first songs that shaped us into who we are as “musicians” today.

With the help of cartoonist Michael Naus & voice over artist Rex Anderson we bring you this cheesy punk rock comic book musical.
