Back in May, my family and I moved from NYC/LI back to the Buffalo,NY area. Gone are the long days being stuck on trains, or waiting for trains and my 3 hour commute to Manhattan, which had all but sucked my soul dry and added extra stress and anxiousness to my already demanding life... Since I've moved I have been able to shed the anxiety and have been able to slow my pace down which has been beneificial both personally and creatively. I turned a room in my new house into part recording studio/creative room. It has window!! Which is quite a change because I was stuck in my basement back on Long Island, which did nothing good for my psyche.
I plan on doing a lot of recording for my own solo projects as well as bring in local clientele. Also I am getting back into teaching again and will turn part of my studio into a lessons area. It feels good to get back to the basics and get out of the rat race of the Big Apple. In addition to my home studio recording projects, I have been able to join several local bands since moving back to the area. One of which is RUMOURZ, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac. I am playing keyboards in this band and we're playing all over western and central New York region this summer to years end. So it feels good to be in a band again as well as get my live chops back up to where they need to be.
